125th Birthday of Max Anderlohr

M. A. was born February 13, 1884, in Aschaffenburg. After his university studies, he took over the general agency of Veifa-Werke in Vienna in 1909. After Veifa had been absorbed by RGS Erlangen, Anderlohr took over the management of both operations (Veifa and RGS Vienna) in 1916.
As head of SRW in Erlangen he led his enterprise to such great success, that he received an honorary doctorate and the honorary membership of the senate of the of the University of Erlangen, the cross of merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and he was honorary freeman of the city of Erlangen.

Future events

  • At the beginning of May MedArchiv will honor the work of this great figure with an exhibition in the foyer of the City Hall. The display will also illustrate the development of the X-ray tube factory Rudolstadt over the last 90 years.
  • On May 27, 2009 there will be a ceremony for employees of Healthcare and for representatives of the City and University of Erlangen which will take place in the large exhibition room at the Healthcare Center under the topic "125 years Max Anderlohr and 90 years X-ray tube factory Rudolstadt."
